How billing works

For current prices, see zekt.dev/zekt-pricing. For the contractual terms, see the Terms of Service. This page explains how billing behaves day to day.

Your bill has two parts:

  • Fixed fees per repository: a base fee for each enabled repository, plus a fee for each add-on (Analytics, Shield, Chainlink) enabled on it.
  • Usage: what you actually use, such as API calls, webhooks, storage, MCP calls, archive and network transfer.

Fixed fees are pro-rated by the day. You pay only for the days a repository or add-on was active in the month. A repository in Chainlink mode is charged the Chainlink fee for those days, and the base fee for its other active days. Analytics or Shield on a Chainlink repository is charged once, not per side. Usage isn’t pro-rated, because it’s already measured as you go.

  1. Add a card to start the trial. Signing up ends on the payment page. The 7-day trial starts when you add a card, and each account gets only one trial. Your billing address must include a country, so invoices can show the right tax. Without it, the card is refused.
  2. Use Zekt for 7 days. About 24 hours before the trial ends, an in-app message (not an email) reminds you.
  3. After the trial, service just continues. Nothing is billed during an active trial. If you keep the account, usage from the trial is billed with the first invoice, and fixed fees start from the day the trial ended.

If a trial ends with no card on file, the account is suspended. Contact Zekt support.

  • You’re billed in arrears: each month is invoiced on the 6th of the following month, in USD, and charged automatically to your card. Tax is added where it applies.
  • The invoice shows one line with the month’s total, for example Zekt Usage - 2026-10, with (Pro-rated: X/Y days) added when that applies. Any discount is already included in the total. For the breakdown per repository and add-on, use the Billing section.
  • No invoice is created for a month that totals $0.00.
  • Download invoices under Management → Billing → Payment Method → Download Invoices. Each invoice shows its date, number, month, amount and status (Paid, Open, Draft, Void or Uncollectible), with a PDF and a link to the hosted invoice page, where you can pay it.

Zekt itself doesn’t send billing emails.

TabShows
Current UsageThis month’s estimated total, your fixed fees (base and each add-on), and usage by type. If pro-rating applies, a Pro-rated Billing Applied notice appears.
Cost BreakdownCosts per repository and per service.
HistoryA monthly chart, and past months broken down per repository.
ForecastA projection for the month, with recommendations.
Payment MethodYour card (brand and last four digits), the billing email, banners about payment problems, and your invoices.

You need the Owner or Billing role.

  1. Go to Management → Billing → Payment Method.
  2. Choose Update Card and enter the new card. Stripe handles card entry, so card details never reach Zekt.
  3. The new card is used for future invoices.

Updating your card doesn’t retry a failed payment. To pay an open invoice, use its hosted invoice link under Download Invoices.

  1. 7-day grace period. Service continues as normal. The Payment Method tab shows a banner with the date your service continues until.
  2. After the grace period, new work stops. That means new dispatches, deliveries to subscribers, orchestrations, replays, and MCP replay. You can still read your data and change settings, and work that was already accepted still finishes.
  3. Service resumes once the open invoice is paid and no other month is unpaid. Pay through the hosted invoice link under Download Invoices.

The Payment Method tab also shows banners when your bank needs you to confirm a payment (3-D Secure), and when your card is about to expire.

If your bank opens a dispute on a Zekt charge, new work stops immediately, with no grace period. Service resumes if the dispute is resolved in Zekt’s favour. If the chargeback succeeds, the account stays suspended, even if you pay later invoices. Contact Zekt support.
