Enable a consumer repository
A consumer repository receives events. You need the Consumer or Both persona, and admin permission on the repository.
Enable a repository
Section titled “Enable a repository”- Go to Consumer → Repos.
- Turn on the repository’s toggle.
- Enabled before: choose Re-activate Now.
- Otherwise: a dialog opens with a Track Workflow Completion checkbox, ticked by default. Leave it ticked unless you have a reason not to (see below). Choose Continue to GitHub.
- On GitHub, install the Zekt GitHub App on the repository, or confirm it’s selected. Choose Only select repositories.
- Back in Zekt, on Processing GitHub Installation, choose Enable Consumer Repository. You’ll see Consumer repository enabled successfully!.
Enabling a consumer repository usually goes through GitHub, even if the App is already installed. Re-activating a repository you enabled before happens in place.
Next: find a service and request access, then write the workflow that receives events.
Track Completion
Section titled “Track Completion”With Track Completion on, Zekt watches the run each event triggers in this repository, so you and the provider can see whether it started and how it finished. You don’t add anything to your workflow. You need it:
- to see deliveries move from Dispatched to Confirmed and Completed (see Delivery tracking);
- to offer a consumer service from this repository.
With it off, deliveries show as Sent (completion not tracked).
If enabling fails
Section titled “If enabling fails”The error messages are the same as for provider repositories. See Enable a provider repository.
Disable a repository
Section titled “Disable a repository”Turn off the toggle. The Disable Consumer Repository dialog notes that This Action is Reversible. Choose Disable Repository.
